About Us - Play It Again Sports Greater Cincinnati

The Play it Again Sports stores in the Greater Cincinnati area are owned and operated by John and Mary McGregor.  Their four stores have been serving Cincinnati, Fairfield, West Chester, Pisgah, Mason, Oxford and other surrounding areas for over 17 years.

The McGregors moved to the Cincinnati area in 1977 and started a family.  Raising two children who were both very involved in sports, John and Mary realize how expensive it can be to have to buy new sports equipment year after year.  The appeal of being able to trade in the used equipment children grow out of to save money on buying new and used gear in the right size was something that led to the purchase of their first Play it Again Sports franchise, which opened in March of 1993. 

The McGregors soon added three more sports stores with new locations in Fairfield, West Chester, and a second store in Cincinnati on Colerain Avenue. Now in 2010, their son Johnny has joined the family business.
